In 1916, a German woman named Charlotte Diedrich inherited a coffee plantation in Costa Rica. So she left Europe behind and headed to Central America to grow coffee.
Later, Charlotte’s son Carl took over the business and added a second plantation in Guatemala. After several years of selling his coffee to others, Carl ventured to Newport Beach, California, to bring the first taste of true single origin specialty coffee to Southern California.
Since then, Diedrich Coffee has grown from a local favorite, to a regional favorite, to a nationally recognized leader with retail coffeehouses and wholesale distribution from coast to coast. Now, all you need is a Keurig single cup coffee machine to enjoy Diedrich k-cups any time you want.
